justice4victims.org offers a range of services for victims of violent crime.

If you want to report a crime in complete anonymity call CRIMESTOPPERS on 0800 555 111, or visit their website.

FORUM - This is where you can meet victims and other like-minded individuals for solidarity and support.  If your ordeal has prompted you to take positive action, here is the place to do that.  You may even want to share your feelings and advise others on your own coping mechanisms - we will happily upload your blogs and video diaries (providing they meet our standards of acceptable publication) and add the content to our VIDEO ADVICE page.

CRIMINOLOGY - Want to know why you were personally targeted, or try to understand what made your attackers behave the way they did?  These pages can at least go some way to helping you make sense of the most senseless behaviour, and hopefully start coming to terms with your ordeal.

LEGISLATION - You may be angry at the sentence received by your attacker, and want an explanation of how such apparent injustices can occur.  This section contains a page dedicated to explaining British criminal SENTENCING POLICY - you may find that the answer is not as black and white as you first thought; if the sentence for your attacker was "unduly lenient" and you think you have the right to appeal, this page helps you find out how.

If you do feel let down by a lenient sentence for your attacker, tell us all about it, and help us to compile our DOSSIER for action.  Better still, name those who have escaped appropriate justice on our new page, SENTENCE SHAME, and help us compile the most complete list in Britain.

USEFUL LINKS - Perhaps you just want to know what organisations are available to help you recover from your ordeal, whether or not you decided to report it; we list a comprehensive selection of organisations to help you, whatever the nature of your attack, all of which are just a click away.
